SCIF-Ready Barcode Scanners and Readers
Definition of SCIF: Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). A SCIF-Ready scanner must have all wireless (WiFi and BT), camera and microphone disabled. There are several manufactures of this equipment including Honeywell, Intermec, Zebra, Cipherlab and others. Since these are special devices for government or government related activities they are usually used in highly sensitive areas and prevent access by outside entities. DPAS

DPAS contains four modules, Property Accountability, Maintenance & Utilization, Warehouse Management, and Materiel Management. Secure Data Transfer
Once the transactions are completed, the device is inserted into the docking station that is connected to a computer, so that data can be transferred either manually or automatically.
