This Student Attendance Tracking solution uses a barcode scanner to collect students attendance information. This includes a student name as well as time and date of scan. It can also be used at sporting events such as football games to verify the student. It warns of invalid or duplicate scans so that you can take the appropriate action.

Overview

The Student Attendance Tracker is a simple, yet effective system that allows you to track students coming into events. It lets you load a look-up file of barcode numbers and names to provide verification about the individual scanned. It also allows you to prevent more than one entry per ticket by alerting the user of a duplicate scan. This software package uses a portable barcode reader, which captures the badge number and looks up pre-loaded student names. It also tracks the date and time the student entered the event. This data can then be quickly and easily transferred to your computer.

Easy to Use!
Whether you are a new user or an expert, you’ll find the Student Attendance Tracker is simple to use. Just scan a student’s badge or ticket, using the portable barcode reader to:

Track attendance and capture the badge numbers of students entering an event
Use pre-loaded lookup tables to retrieve the names of the students entering an event
Prevent duplicate entry with one ticket.

The barcode reader allows you to load a lookup table of student ID's and Names so that the names can be displayed once the barcode of the badge is scanned. If a student's ID gets scanned that is not on the lookup table, then the barcode reader will sound a warning and also show you a visual warning.

The scans that are captured by the barcode reader along with the date and time of the scan, can be downloaded to the PC, and opened with Microsoft Excel or imported into other programs. See below for sample output.
