Barcode Rental FAQs

MSS Software has a full line of barcode readers, barcode scanners and barcode printers for rent. We pride ourselves in getting you the right rental equipment for your needs—on time. Since we are knowledgeable about both barcode equipment and barcode software, we know the right way to set up your equipment to ensure a smooth rental experience. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about our barcode rental services:

Q:	Can I get a test unit? Yes. We can rent you a test unit for $100 to $150 per week, depending on the type of unit.
Q:	Do you do long-term rentals? Yes. We rent barcode readers, scanners, and printers on a weekly and monthly basis. Just give us a call at 800-428-8643, Ext. 630 to discuss your particular needs.
Q:	Do you rent barcode printers? Yes. We also rent them as a combo with barcode readers.
Q:	How do I know what I need? Our data collection specialists offer free consultations to all our rental customers. We will help you determine what type of hardware and software you need. Our barcode rentals are commonly used for inventory, asset tracking, lead collection and ticket checking.
Q:	How do I place my rental order? Print out the Rental Fax Form or give us a call at 800-428-8643, Ext. 630.
Q:	How fast can I get my order? The more lead time the better, however, we can get you rental equipment quickly if you have a rush job. We rent equipment for a week at a time, and you chose the date you want to receive the equipment. Then, you just ship it back to us in one week. The end of the year is always a very busy time for barcode rentals, so be sure to order as early as possible for December.
Q:	How many barcode reader and scanners do you have for rent? What type? We literally have more than 1,000 barcode readers for rent and additional scanners and printers. We carry both batch and wireless barcode readers. We rent DOS handhelds, Win CE and Pocket PC barcode readers. Our rental units come with laser, CCD or 2D imagers. We carry units that are compatible with most major manufacturers' equipment.
Q:	How much do barcode rentals cost? Barcode Readers: $100 to $150 per unit, per week. Barcode Scanners: $25 per scanner Barcode Printers: $100 per week per printer Barcode Reader and Printer Comb: $250 per week for each
Q:	What comes with a barcode rental? Everything you need to do your inventory or other data collection activity. We include docks, cables, power supplies and other essential accessories. We also provide standard software used in inventory and other applications like seminar tracking and ticket checking. Our technical support staff is available Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 5 pm to assist you, as needed.
Q:	What kind of software do you provide with rental units? If you need a standard reader program for applications such as inventory, attendance tracking, lead retrieval and more, we have it! If you need something a little more custom or special, we can program it quickly. We've developed thousands of reader programs, so our programmers know what you're looking for. All you have to do is open the box and get started using your rentals.
