CPT-8000 Portable Barcode Reader

This compact barcode reader is great for small-sized inventories and other light duty environments. It provides just enough of the basics to allow you to accomplish your tasks easily (It is not designed for extremely complex applications.) This portable barcode reader has a fantastic built-in CCD scanner, and the view screen is clearly readable. The CPT-8000 uses 2 AAA batteries that usually last about 100 hours and are easily replaced. With over 1MB of data storage, this reader will hold more than an entire day’s work. MSS Software also offers basic data collection programs that can be used on the CPT-8000, such as inventory or asset tracking programs. In addition, you can build your own software using the supplied application generator. This reader communicates using a simple windows communication program through the IRDA to Com1 port. At under $500, the CPT-8000 is ideal for inventory control, retail, asset tracking, meter reading, warehousing and distribution operations.
