MSS Software is unique, because we specialize in both barcode hardware and barcode software. These are some examples of the projects we have done for a few of our commercial customers:
MSS Software provides barcode reader rentals for annual inventory at more than 20 manufacturing locations for Benjamin Moore Paint Company. Benjamin Moore decided to rent more than 300 barcode readers annually instead of investing in the purchase of capital equipment.
The office products manufacturer needed portable scanning devices to collect orders while at trade shows. MSS Software created the software to automatically fill orders and print invoices. ACCO Brands found that using barcoding speeded up their order-entry process tremendously, so their sales force could spend more time selling and take more error-free orders.
Using MSS Software's Inspector Kit (software and barcode readers) the task of inspecting the school's fire extinguishers and other safety equipment was greatly simplified. Inspections can now be completed quickly and accurately.
The IPT out of Atlanta, Georgia needed a way to automatically check attendance at required tax and accounting seminars. MSS Software went on site to assist their team in making the transition to barcoding and using our Seminar Tracker program. Based on the initial success IPT purchased stand-alone barcode readers for their members to self scan. This allows IPT to use less staff and collect the attendance data quickly and efficiently.
The running organization uses portable barcode readers at the annual New York City Marathon that they organize. These readers are rented from MSS Software and used to track runners throughout the race.
HP was looking for a way to track attendance at their conferences. They needed to see who attended various sessions throughout the event and for how long. Attendance Tracker Pro allowed them to view and an accurate report of attendance at their larger conferences. They are now able to see which sessions are most popular and are able to plan accordingly.
El Dorado National is the largest volume producer of commercial buses in North America. Their assembly process is split across dozens of stations that make up multiple lines. MSS Software produced a Works In Process (web-based) system to help them manage their production and eliminate errors. Workers use barcode readers to track their time and type of job being done in producing the buses.
