Attendance Tracking
Check In/Out
is an attendance tracking application designed to log people in and
out of secure or highly sensitive areas. In cases of emergencies, it allows
admin to “know”, at any particular point in time, “who” is
"IN" the facility
or area. This attendance information can be viewed quickly on the portable barcode
reader or can be printed out with an attached receipt printer.
How Check IN/OUT Works
There are two components to this attendance
tracking system:
-
A portable barcode reader is used to scan the
person’s badge and log them in/out while also recording the date and time
they logged in/out. When a person logs out, this removes them from the
checked-in list and only the remaining people who have not checked out will
be listed.
-
A portable receipt printer is used to print
out the attendance list from the barcode reader for viewing. In case
of emergencies, you can see who is still "IN" the building.
Collect Time Punches
Use
Check In/Out
to collect time punches. As each badge is scanned, an employee lookup file
is cross-checked to determine who that individual is and display their name on
the portable barcode reader’s screen. Also a transaction is recorded in a
file showing the status (IN/OUT), the person’s badge number and the date and
time of the transaction. This transaction file can be transferred to a PC
for later viewing or use within other programs.
View only Checked-in Personnel
Every time a badge is scanned a determination is
made as to whether this person is just checking in or checking out. Once
this determination is made, then only the list of currently checked-in
employees will be shown. Only employees currently considered IN are included
in the list. Using the portable receipt printer, the list can be printed.
